I found this lecture on youtube by chance, just because I was thinking that I have never seen a lecture by Marc Leman. This video is about a decade ago, and Leman presented in 50 minutes the basic ideas behind his book Embodied music cognition and mediation technology.
In this lecture he also mentions his earlier contribution regarding the probe tone technique. While writing this post I found this article in Music Perception since 2000. Leman has a critical view on the disembodied apparatus of this experiment, as he disagrees about the passive/disembodied perceptual evaluation of the participants. He challenges the probe tone approach by using an embodied listening approach in his experiments using guqin.
